Iran’s initiatives to reach Vienna agreement

The Vienna talks for revival of the 2015 nuclear deal and removal of anti-Iran sanctions has had remarkable progress. The current achievements in the talks have their roots in new suggestions and rational approach by the Iranian negotiating team, while they have made all-out efforts to maintain national interests of the Islamic country.
The Iranians’ strategy has succeeded in moving forward the Vienna talks and in the same time standing against maximum demands and sabotages exerted by disloyal Western sides.
Now, there are still some important outstanding issues to be solved to pave the way for reaching a final deal in Vienna, which can be achieved following political decision-making by the Western powers especially the US.
Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), wrote on his Twitter account: “The positive and negative acts by states involved in the Vienna talks are aimed at securing their interests and this move is understandable. Securing the interests of the Iranian nation is the only factor influencing Iran’s interaction with the P4+1 group.”
–Innovation in Vienna talks
The Western sides have resorted to propaganda campaign since the beginning of the seventh round of the Joint Commission meetings of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in order to portray Iran’s peaceful nuclear program as a threat, but Iranian delegation has firmly defended Iranians’ rights in the talks and proposed new initiatives to pave the way for speeding up the negotiations especially on legal, political and economic guarantees.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said on the sidelines of a security conference in Munich that the new Iranian administration pursues a balanced foreign policy, dynamic diplomacy and intelligent interaction.
–Raisi Administration
The administration of President Ebrahim Raisi follows up realistic and pragmatic policy to solve challenges and utilize opportunities in international arena.
The Islamic Republic’s capability in resolving differences with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) indicates that the Iranian negotiators are competent in changing the situations in a bid to resolve unprecedented crises, which are directly related to success in the Vienna talks.
It is worth mentioning that the Islamic Republic’s nuclear activities are for peaceful purposes and the IAEA has time and again confirmed the fact in several reports.
Representatives from Iran, the European Union and the P4+1 group of countries, including Britain, France, Russia, China plus Germany made efforts to finalize a draft text for a potential Vienna agreement and they are trying to take decisions on certain outstanding issues.
