Iran warns Zionist regime of Israel against its heinous crimes

He gave the warning through a letter sent to the UN secretary general and chairman of the UN Security Council on Thursday, March 10.

He further reiterated the international responsibility of the Zionist regime for assassinating two Iranian defenders of holy shrines in Syria.

On March 7, 2022, the Zionist regime of Israel attacked northern Damascus via its rockets which led to killing of two Iranian forces who were giving military advice to the Syrian forces to fight against terrorists.

Iranian advisory forces are in Syria at the official invitation of the Syrian government.

Iran sees the recent terrorist attack as so provocative, and believes that the attack was carried out deliberately in order to grow tensions at an uncontrollable level.

Iran says that the Zionist attack was also after interrupting coordination among those who fight against terrorists, Daesh (ISIS) in particular, in the region.

Such a provocative act was against the international rights and the UN Charter which makes it necessary for the international community to condemn it.

Global community, especially the UN Security Council, has to strongly condemn this criminal act and make the Zionist regime stand accountable for its illegal measures which are serious threats to the international peace and security.

Islamic Republic of Iran introduces the Zionist regime of Israel as the full responsible for criminal acts and seriously warns the regime about its heinous and adventurist measures.

According to the Article 51 of the UN Charter, Iran has right to defend and protect itself when facing such measures.

Article 51 says that “Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security. Measures taken by Members in the exercise of this right of self-defence shall be immediately reported to the Security Council and shall not in any way affect the authority and responsibility of the Security Council under the present Charter to take at any time such action as it deems necessary in order to maintain or restore international peace and security.”
