Amir-Abdollahian emphasized the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to defend themselves against any occupation and aggression, while recalling the crimes of the Zionist regime against the people of Palestine and the support of the United States and the West for this regime.
He also reminded Guterres and the UN of their responsibilities in the face of the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, warning about the indiscriminate revenge of the Zionist regime.
The Iranian top diplomat urged the UN Secretary-General to take necessary measures as soon as possible to prevent further gross violations of international law, including human rights and humanitarian law, and heinous crimes, especially war crimes and genocide, in the occupied territories, particularly in Gaza.
