Heading a high-ranking military delegation, Sergei Shoigu has arrived in the Iranian capital of Tehran this afternoon to meet with senior Iranian officials.
At the official welcoming ceremony, the national anthems of the two countries were first played, and after that general Bagheri and Sergei Shoigu reviewed the honour guards.
Developing defense diplomacy, expansion of bilateral cooperation, countering the common threats and international terrorism as well as the regional developments will be subjects of discussion during the meetings between Shoigu and Iranian officials and commanders.
