Pointing to the long history of good relations between Iran and Finland, Amir-Abdollahian welcomed the two countries’ efforts in expanding relations in various fields.
Elina Valtonen, for her part, announced Finland’s readiness to deepen relations with Iran, including in the judicial and consular sectors.
Pointing to the developments in Ukraine, she expressed concern about the consequences of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Elina Valtonen also appreciated Iran for its assistance in transferring Afghan refugees to Finland.
The two sides further conferred on Ukraine’s developments, Afghanistan, and cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
