Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh expressed sorrow over heavy fire in Greece forests, which resulted in killing and injuring people and caused damages to their properties.
Khatibzadeh sympathized with the Greek government, people, and bereaved families of the victims.
He hoped for containing fire as soon as possible.
Fire in Greece forests which has continued for five days without being contained has burnt parts of the country in Euboea.
Hundreds of people had to evacuate the area.
