Iran’s Persepolis announces plan to host AFC Champions League 2021

Head of the International Relations of Persepolis Amir Ali Hosseini announced that team plans to host AFC Champions League 2021.

Hosseini said that based on a suggestion by the AFC Champions League Executive Committee, countries that are present in the playoff list can apply for hosting the event.

He added that the Persepolis request was sent to Iran Football Federation and it will be submitted to the Asian Football Confederation.

Persepolis has presented its detailed plan including hotels, hosting conditions, stadiums, sports facilities and protocols, he noted.

He stated that one hotel has been provided for AFC officials and five others for the teams.

He went on to say that Persepolis has announced five stadiums for exercises and one for matches.

The official reiterated that Persepolis is able to meet the AFC requirements and will be ready for the quarterfinal, semi-final and final matches.
