Alipour and Olad became the champion and runner-up of the Paralympic Shot Put

 Alipour finished in first place with a throw of 14.78 meters in the Men’s Shot Put – F11 and Olad came second with 13.89 meters.

Spanish athlete Alvaro del Amo Cano claimed the bronze with 13.38 meters.

Amirhossein Alipour, who holds the gold of the 2024 World Championships in Japan and the 2022 Para-Asian Games in Hangzhou, stood in at first place with a record of 14.78, while breaking the Asian record, and won the gold medal.

Also, Mehdi Olad won the runner-up title in this part of the competition with a record of 13.89.

Mehdi Olad also won the gold medal in the weight throw at the Tokyo Paralympic Games and was the runner-up in the discus throw.

He has gold and bronze medals from the 2019 World Championships and two gold medals from the Asian Games in Jakarta.

Athletics at the 2024 Summer Paralympics take place at Stade de France in Paris.

Iran has sent 65 athletes in 10 sports to the Games.
