He made the remarks while talking to reporters upon his arrival here Saturday night at the end of his one-day visit to Tehran during which he met and conferred with a number of senior Iranian officials about Iran’s nuclear program.
When in Tehran, he met with the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
At the end of their intensive discussions, the two sides issued a joint statement on need for accelerating and strengthening cooperation and dialogue to resolve existing issues.
He said he would present the IAEA Board of Governors with an outline of activities by June.
Grossi arrived in Tehran Friday night to resolve issues regarding safeguards agreement.
Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by the spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi.
During his stay in Tehran, Grossi conferred with a number of Iranian officials on continuation of cooperation between Iran and the IAEA.
He took on twitter today, writing “Today I signed a statement with Vice-President and President of the Atomic Energy Organization of #Iran 🇮🇷, Mohammad Eslami. A lot of work ahead of us.”
