Shamkhani: US plots in Syria resulted in threats against regional security

Brigadier General Ali Mamlook, the head of Syrian National Security Office who is visiting Tehran in a meeting with Vice-Admiral Shamkhani, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Supreme National Security Council exchanged viewpoints on bilateral ties and the most important regional and international developments.

Shamkhani in the meeting elaborated in the destructive role played by the Americans in crisis generating in the region and the world aimed at looting the nations’ wealth and resources.

“The US presence in Syria, too, was aimed at the same purpose, and it is today the greatest obstacle in the way for restoration of peace and stability in your country,” he added.

The secretary of the Supreme National Security Council said that sponsoring terrorism and changing the demographic map aimed at disintegration of Syria are the main objectives of the global oppression system in that country.

“Unfortunately, some of Syria’s neighbors, too, are contributing to the enemies’ plots against the Syrian and regional peace and stability,” he added.

The head of the Syrian National Office, too, praising the Islamic Republic of Iran’s outstanding role in supporting Syria in the fight against terrorism and the US notorious acts and those of its allies, emphasized that the mixed bloods of the two countries’ martyrs have guaranteed the continuation of Tehran-Damascus comprehensive cooperation.

Brigadier General Ali Mamlook also presented a report on the security condition in various parts of Syria, ensuring Shamkhani that thanks to the efforts made by the Syrian government, nation, and armed forces, and the assistance of the friend countries, the Takfirist terrorists are now fully defeated in Syria and the security crisis is over.

The Syrian high brass military official, meanwhile, referred to the abundant economic opportunities existing in various fields for economic cooperation, to secure both nations’ sustainable interests.
