Amirabdollahian praised Tajikistan hosting Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and stressed the importance of developing all-out cooperation.
He elaborated Iranian government’s approach with regard to relations with neighbors and stressed deep cultural and linguistic commonalities between Iran and Tajikistan.
He expressed satisfaction over the capacity of cooperation in technical-engineering, tourism, industries, mine, and agriculture fields.
He noted that the two countries can cooperate in the SCO framework.
He reiterated Iran’s view regarding formation of an inclusive government in the presence of all ethnic groups in Afghanistan.
Muhriddin, for his part, emphasized implementation of the agreements between Iranian and Tajik presidents on the sidelined of the SCO summit.
He hoped for promotion of trade cooperation with Iran.
He underscored commonalities between Iran and Tajikistan with regard to fighting terrorism, extremism, and separatism.
He expounded on Tajikistan stance toward developments in Afghanistan.
Both sides also discussed implementation of bilateral agreements in the framework of joint cooperation commission, Iran-EU talks, scientific and educational exchanges, and transferring students and professors.
