The Armenian deputy prime minister said in the meeting that strengthening relations with Iran is of strategic value for Armenia, appreciating the Iranian side for the efforts they make in that respect.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s stances on preserving regional peace and stability are of great significance,” said Papikyan.
Ambassador Abbas Badakhshan Zohuri, too, congratulating Mr. Papikyan on his appointment at his new political post and remembering his precious role in expansion of bilateral ties when he was the minister of regional affairs management and infrastructures, expressed hope that during his new higher position the two countries’ cooperation will expand more than ever before.
The Armenian deputy prime minister referred to the broad roads construction projects of his country to join the Iranian roads and complete the North South Corridor all the way to Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province, reiterating that such projects will contribute to speeding up transportation between the two countries.
The two sides in the meeting also reached agreement on exchange of high-ranking delegations and holding expert level talks.
