The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi formally welcomed the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mustafa al-Kadhimi at the Summit Hall on Sunday.
At the official welcoming ceremony, after the national anthems of the two countries were played, President Raisi and Al-Kadhimi reviewed the honour guards and then introduced the high-ranking delegations to each other.
Immediately after the official welcoming ceremony, bilateral talks between the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Prime Minister of Iraq began.
The development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation in various political, economic and cultural fields and reviewing and exchange of views on the most important regional and international issues are among the most important topics of discussion between the high-ranking delegations of the two countries.
The Iraqi Prime Minister, who is in Iran as part of an official bilateral visit to meet with Iranian officials, arrived in Tehran this morning.
