Head of Hamas movement political bureau Ismail Haniyeh has congratulated Hossein Amir Abdollahian on his appointment as Iran’s new foreign minister.
Haniyeh was speaking with Amir Abdollahian over the phone. The Palestinian resistance movement’s leader also thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its support of the Palestinian people and resistance.
Meanwhile, the Iranian foreign minister thanked the Palestinian leader for his call and praised the Palestinian women and men for their struggle and perseverance in the fight against Israeli occupiers, particularly those who fought during Operation al-Quds Sword.
Amir Abdollahian said resistance is the only way forward to liberate Palestine and end the Israeli occupation.
The Iranian foreign minister added that Tehran will continue supporting the Palestinian people’s fight for freedom and the formation of a Palestinian state in all of Palestine with al-Quds as its capital city.
Amir Abdollahian condemned Israel’s continued crimes against Palestinian women and children, saying Iran supports a free referendum in Palestine through which true Palestinians will decide their fate.
