Nakhost news – As the second leg of his regional tour, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian arrived in Damascus on Sunday to meet with Syrian officials.
Amir Abdollahian and the accompanying delegation in Damascus will discuss with Syrian officials the specifics of bilateral relations and regional developments.
The Iranian delegation at the airport was welcomed by Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Makdad.
Upon his arrival in Damascus, Amir Abdollahian said that Tehran and Damascus have created joint victories in the fight against terrorism.
“Iran-Syria-Iraq relations are strategic. We have created joint actions and victories in the fight against terrorism. We are going to discuss all areas, including economic, trade and cultural, as well as all areas of interest of the two countries in the meetings in Damascus,” he told reporters.
“We believe that Iran and Syria will take great steps in the fight against economic terrorism with the will of the leaders of the two countries” the top diplomat added.
