Nezameddin Mousavi, spokesman of Majlis (Iranian Parliament) presiding board, on Wednesday elaborated on procedures for examining the qualification of the picks of President Ebrahim Raisi for different ministries in Majlis.

Mousavi said that the list of the proposed ministers was officially received at 13:36 local time on Wednesday in a letter to Majlis speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf by President Raisi.

He, however, noted that the parliament will announce the receipt of the list on Saturday, as announced by the deputy speaker.

He said that Majlis commissions will examine the plans of the proposed ministers for one week from Saturday (August 14).

He noted that it is possible for the president to replace a proposed minister by another one by Saturday when the Parliament announces the receipt of the list of the proposed ministers.

Majlis has launched a website for the proposed ministers to upload their resumes, plans and educational records to be reviewed by the lawmakers, Mousavi said.

He said that the results of examinations in the commissions will be then read out in an open session of Majlis where the proposed ministers, the lawmakers opposed and those in favor of the proposed ministers and probably the president will give speeches.

This procedure will take a few days at the end of which a vote taking will determine whether the proposed minister will be allowed to take the post or no, he said.

The vote of confidence will be held after the mourning days of Tasua and Ashura, the lawmaker added.
