The Chairman of Kavir Steel complex in Aran va Bidgol County, central Iran, said that this steel complex exported more than $ 250 million to foreign countries, and this amount of exports will increase to $ 500 million with inaugurating the new development phase.
Hossein Hosseinzadeh said here on Sunday evening that over 1,000 tons of steel is being produced at the Kavir Steel complex, half of which is exported to 15 countries.
According to official statistics, Iran exported 2.78 million tons of finished and semi-finished steel products during the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (starting on March 21) to register 128% growth.
Khouzestan Steel Company had the best performance among these steel companies in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (starting from March 21) with the export of 523,321 tons of blooms, billets, and slabs and recorded a growth of 92%.
Esfahan Steel Company too, with 315,844 tons export and growth of 75%, and Mobarakeh Steel Company with an export of 267,861 tons and growth of 325% stood in the second and third-ranking.
Bloom, billets, slabs, wide sheets, alloy-engineering sections, rebars, sponge iron, and hot briquettes are the major steel products for exporting among Iranian steel companies.
