Iranian newly-elected President Ebrahim Raisi on Saturday called for finalizing a plan for boosting the national fight against COVID-19.
The president made the remarks while speaking during a meeting of the national headquarters of the fight against the coronavirus disease.
Raisi urged the country’s universities of medical sciences, as well as the governorates across the country, to convey their one and a half years of experiences in the fight against the pandemic to the ministries of health and interior as soon as possible, asking them to make any necessary proposal to help the national fight against the disease.
The president said that a comprehensive plan for boosting the fight against COVID-19 will be drafted in a special committee based on the experiences of one and a half years ago which will be on the agenda of the national headquarters for the fight against the coronavirus disease next week.
