A Pakistani Urdu newspaper says that relations between Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan would further strengthen under the government of Ebrahim Raisi.
Daily Ausaf reported that the inauguration ceremony of Ebrahim Raisi as the 13th head of government in Tehran with the presence of high-ranking officials from various countries, including the Pakistani parliamentary delegation chaired by the Chairman Senate, was held on Friday.
The newspaper called Tehran-Islamabad relations stable, unbreakable and good, adding that the enemies of the two brotherly countries have always tried to spoil these relations and create misunderstandings, but these conspiracies failed at all stages.
Ausaf added that it should be said with full confidence that with the beginning of a new government in Iran, headed by Raisi, relations between the two brotherly countries would strengthen and can open new windows of opportunity.
Referring to the meeting of the new President of Iran with the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan in Tehran, the Pakistani newspaper said that Iran was the first country to recognize the foundation of Pakistan and since then the two countries enjoy strong cultural, historical, and trade ties.
The editorial said that there is a strong hope that the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan will be strengthened in all fields, especially border and trade relations, during the tenure of Raisi.
**Pakistani newspaper welcomes trade agreements at Iran-Pakistan Parliamentary Summit
Pakistan Urdu-language newspaper 92 in its editorial welcomed the agreements reached between Iran and Pakistan to increase economic and trade cooperation, especially activating border exchanges.
It said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a brother and neighbor of Pakistan and the continuation of relations with this neighboring country, especially in the fields of energy and cross-border trade, will guarantee Pakistan’s interests.
Given the current developments in the region, further deepening of relations between Iran and Pakistan is inevitable and the officials of the two countries should accelerate joint efforts to remove obstacles to the development of cooperation, 92 added.
Emphasizing that Tehran and Islamabad have an inseparable link, the 13th head of state during a meeting with Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan said that we must identify the capacities to increase relations and cooperation between the two countries and activate them in the interests of both countries and the region.
Ebrahim Raisi was sworn-in as new President of the Islamic Republic of Iran at an inauguration ceremony held in the Iranian Parliament on Thursday.
