Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Wednesday that the US sanctions will never be able to “cripple Iran or its centrifuges”.
Zarif made the remarks on his official Twitter account on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of UN Security Council decision to remove Iran from the Chapter VII of the UN Charter.
“6 years ago today, #JCPOA resolved a UNSC Chapter VII issue without resorting to war,” Zarif said.
“Obama realized his ‘crippling sanctions’ would not cripple Iran or its centrifuges,” he said, adding, “Trump ineptly thought ‘maximum pressure’ would. Never will.”
Zarif also published a chart about Iran’s centrifuges. He tagged the US President Joe Biden, saying he should look closely at these figures.
