Iran intelligence minister, Iraq president discuss bilateral issues

 Iranian Minister of Intelligence Mahmoud Alavi and Iraqi President Barham Salih, in a meeting in Baghdad on Wednesday, reviewed issues of bilateral importance.

The two officials stressed the significance of bolstering ties between the two neighboring countries in all areas.

The Iranian minister stressed the significance of strong relations between Tehran and Baghdad, calling for further cooperation and coordinated fight against terrorism and extremism.

The Iraqi president, for his part, hailed Iran’s support for the Iraqi government and nation in the fight against terrorism and Daesh group.
