Iranian Paralympic legend Zahra Nemati has qualified for the final round of Para Archery World Ranking Tournament on Friday.
Nemati faced Russia in the Semifinals of Para Archery World Ranking Tournament and secured the gold medal with a 6–4 win.
Nemati will meet her Italian competitor in the final match today (on Saturday).
The International Paralympic Committee on Mar 8, 2021, praised two women, including Zahra Nemati from Iran, and a world federation for gender equality.
Iran’s first gold medallist at a Paralympic or Olympics has used her platform to be an activist for women and people with disabilities in her home country. Since making history at the London 2012 Paralympics, Nemati has been at the forefront of showing what women with an impairment can achieve as she continued collecting Paralympic and World Championship medals.
