Iran’s Ambassador to Brasilia Hossein Gharibi met on Saturday with the speaker of the lower house of the National Congress of Brazil Arthur Lira to discuss bilateral ties.
Gharibi presented the latest situation of Iran-Brazil bilateral ties and the perspective of economic relationships and emphasized the important roles of the two parliaments in expanding and diversifying trade between the two countries.
The President of Brazilian Chamber of Deputies highlighted the position and role of the parliament in foreign policy and expressed the readiness of the Brazilian National Congress’ to facilitate good ties between Tehran and Brasilia.
The head of Iran and Brazil parliamentary friendship group Evandro Roman, vice president of the Parliamentary Front of Agriculture Neri Geller and chairman of Parliamentary Front of Mining Ricardo Izar also attended the meeting.
