The presidents of Indonesia and Uganda have congratulated President-elect Ebrahim Raisi on his victory in the 13th Presidential Election.
Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo in a message on behalf of himself, the Indonesian government and nation congratulated the 8th Iranian president for his victory in the elections.
Your election as the president is a reflection of the Iranian nation’s trust in your powerful management capability and I hope your tenure as the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran will lead to progress of your country, the wellbeing of your nation, and sustainable peace and security for Iran, wrote President Widodo.
He added that Iran is one of the most important partners of Indonesia in the region and the history of its amicable relations with Iran is over 70 years old.
The Indonesian president has in his message emphasized his country’s commitment to continuous and close bilateral cooperation which he said serves to safeguard international peace, in addition to securing both nations’ interests.
Also according to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Uganda, President Yoweri Museveni, too, on Saturday forwarded a message to President Elect Ebrahim Raisi, congratulating him on his own behalf, as well as the behalf of the Ugandan government and people.
President Museveni has in his message stressed the Iran and Uganda enjoy amicable bilateral ties, and expressed hope that during president-elect Raisi’s tenure bilateral interests will be further deepened and the two nations’ wellbeing will be improved.
Ebrahim Raisi won the 13th Presidential Elections of the Islamic Republic of Iran with more than 18 million votes to become the 8th Iranian president.
