Pezeshkian: US double standards made Zionist regime more arrogant

 During the phone call between the President of the Council of Europe, Charles Michel, and the President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, the two sides discussed the relations between Iran and Europe, ways to resume negotiations related to the nuclear agreement and the crisis caused by the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and its terrorist activities in the region.

In this conversation, the president of Iran stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been a supporter of peace, tranquility, and stability in the whole world and for all nations, and believes that any trend in any part of the world that endangers these values ​​should be stopped, adding: The application of double standards by the United States and some western countries has caused the Zionist regime to become more arrogant in committing terror and heinous crimes in Gaza as well as in the countries of the region and has endangered the peace and security of the region and the world even more than before.

In response to the President of the European Council’s desire to resume talks on the nuclear agreement, the Iranian president considered the existence of the trust and providing mutual benefits as the basis of the agreement and added: If both sides fulfill all their obligations and trust is established, in addition to the revival of the nuclear agreement, it is possible also to discuss other issues.

Emphasizing the necessity of stabilizing the multipolar order in the world, the president emphasized that the policies and actions of the United States in putting pressure on countries like the Islamic Republic of Iran and trying to deprive them of all their rights and interests are the efforts of the United States to prevent the establishment of the new world order are the obstacles to achieving stability and peace in the world.

In this conversation, the President of the European Council, while expressing his hope for the beginning of the effective interaction between Iran and the European Union based on providing mutual benefits and removing obstacles to wider interaction between them, emphasized the desire of European countries to improve the level of relations with Iran.

Regarding the events in Gaza, Charles Michel also emphasized observing humanitarian rights, stopping attacks, establishing a ceasefire providing massive aid to the people of Gaza, and recognizing the independent Palestinian state.
