During the meeting in Moscow on Tuesday, the two sides spoke on broadening cooperation between Iran Foreign Ministry’s Institute For Political And International Studies (IPIS) and Russian Think-Tanks.
“In this meeting we spoke on regional developments and broadening cooperation between Iran’s IPIS and think-tank headed by Zatulin,” Jalali wrote on his Facebook account about his Tuesday meeting with Zatulin.
The CIS Think-Tank is the top analyzing center of Russia and was founded in the year 1996 and the local government of Moscow, Ministry for Cooperation with CIS, and Ministry of Russian Nationalities were among the founding organizations of the CIS Think-Tanks.
The non-governmental think-tank’s objective is studying the issues related to “near foreign countries – an expression used in Russia referring to the former Soviet Union republics), and scientific support for Russian interests in the CIS countries.
According to the analysts at that center the CIS-Think-Tank’s generated viewpoints are used for shaping up Russia’s policies in the CIS countries.
