President Vučić in the phone talk expressed hope that this year, on the 85th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties good samples for fruitful bilateral relations and numerous meetings between the two countries’ top officials will emerge.
He said that some good fields for Iran-Serbia cooperation can include agriculture, food industries, various production activities, building construction, mining, energy, information technology, academic and cultural cooperation and sports.
President Vučić sincerely appreciated Iran for the intimate bilateral relations despite the existing pressures against it, and also thanked Iran for supporting Serbia’s fundamental stances at the international scenes, his country’s sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
The two sides in the phone talk expressed hope that contacts between the two countries will continue as scheduled and meetings among their high ranking officials will soon take place to further strengthen ties.
They also exchanged views on the most important world developments of the day.
The two presidents also reached agreement that the Serbian president’s visit of Tehran will be scheduled for after the Serbian nationwide election.
