Speaking in a meeting of the cabinet this Wednesday morning, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi referred to the proposal to allocate land for the construction of 5,000 housing units for the families of the martyrs, and said, “We take this proposal as a good one and it is very appropriate that the housing movement in the 13th government starts with housing for the martyrs and the families of the martyrs and veterans”.
The President went on to say that there were concerns about the stocks of basic goods, which have been resolved, adding, “ I would like to reiterate to the relevant ministries that by closely monitoring the market situation, they should not allow any injustice to be done to producers and consumers in the supply chain from production to consumption”.
In another part of his speech, president Raisi described the increase in vaccination rates against coronavirus as commendable but insufficient and said, “One of the necessary preconditions for the prosperity of businesses and the reopening of schools and scientific and academic centres is to reach general vaccination”.
The President emphasized, “We have received good news from the increase in imports and domestic production of vaccines, which is a good thing”.
Referring to recent events in Afghanistan, Ayatollah Raisi described what has happened in Afghanistan for at least the last two decades as a clear sign of blatant human rights abuses in the present era, saying, “If only the number of women and children who have been killed, injured or maimed in Afghanistan over the years, we will see what a silent catastrophe has been going on in this country”.
Emphasizing that the experience of the US presence in different countries and parts of the world proves that this presence has never been security-creating, but on the contrary has been detrimental to security, stability and peace, the President continued, “Americans with such a history and performance, are creating atmosphere against other countries under various pretexts instead of being accountable to the world’s public opinion”.
Dr. Raisi pointed out, “Today, the Americans are creating an atmosphere against our country under the pretext of issues for which there is an answer, and here I call on the responsible agencies, including the national media, to respond appropriately to such accusations and motives.”
At the end of the meeting, the President mentioned the increase of interactions and increase of exchanges with neighboring countries as one of the priorities of the 13th government and said, “The most active government diplomacy should be with neighbors and we should make every effort to increase trade and economic cooperation with neighbors”.
