Slovenian Ambassador to Tehran has been summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, following the participation of the Slovenian Prime Minister in the virtual meeting of the MKO, aka MEK, terrorist group.
In the wake of the participation of the Slovenian Prime Minister in the virtual meeting of the terrorist group, Kristina Radej, the Ambassador of Slovenia to Tehran was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, it was urged that the presence of the Slovenian prime minister in the virtual meeting of the MKO terrorist group is condemned and is contrary to diplomatic custom and the spirit of mutual ties.
Supporting a terrorist group is contrary to the UN Charter, the international principles and human rights values, and is unacceptable, a Foreign Ministry official told the Slovanian envoy.
The Slovenian ambassador, for her part, stated that he would immediately relay Iran’s strong objections to his country.
In this regard, an explanation was requested from the Slovenian government.
