Iran’s Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Masoumeh Ebtekar referred to commonalities between Iranian and Japanese people and called for developing cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries to exchange experiences.
Speaking in an specialized webinar on supporting female entrepreneurs in time of COVID-19 pandemic, Ebtekar said that coronavirus has changed the conditions of living in the world and Iran is no exception.
While the world is dealing with unfair distribution of medical items especially COVID-19 vaccine and in spite of sanctions and foreign pressures, Iranian scientists have taken a major stride in line with improving people’s conditions especially entrepreneurs by producing COVID-19 vaccine.
Pointing to good cooperation between Iran’s Vice Presidency for Women Affairs and Japan’s Sasakawa Peace Foundation, she said that Iranian and Japanese women have both create jobs and hope.
The outbreak of COVID1-9 did not stop Iranian and Japanese women; they used new tools such as the digital marketing to share their experiences with others.
Meanwhile, Iranian Ambassador to Japan Morteza Rahmani Movahhed hailed the measures taken by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation and also the cooperation between Japanese non-governmental organizations with the Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs.
Also, Japanese Ambassador to Iran Kazutoshi Aikawa referred to the commonalities between Iranian and Japanese cultures.
He lauded the recent measures taken by the Iranian Government in line with respecting women’s dignity.
He termed women as the pillars of family in Iran., adding that the Japanese Government has made great efforts to support women entrepreneurs, especially indigenous and local ones.
